International Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (IMSEIT)

The International Master of Science for Electrical Engineering and Information Technology is a 4 semester programme completely offered in English. It is intended for international students who are motivated to pursue a modern and technically challenging master programme at one of the leading universities of applied sciences in Germany.

Application Prerequisites

In order to apply for the master programme, you have to fulfil the following prerequisites:

  • A qualifiying Electrical Engineering bachelor degree (minimum 6 semester and 180 CP)
  • English proficiency proven by a TOEFL certificate (iBT score 80+), IELTS ( minimum band score 6,0 points) or by having had English as medium of instructions for your entire Bachelor training (as proven by official university letter)
  • Excellent study records

Professional working experience is recommeded and valued, but not mandatory.

Application Process

Applicants will be selected by the Department Application Board, as based on academic and professional records.

The application process is composed of the following steps:

  • Entering your personal data and upload your application documents through the online portal (check the Europass link for hints how to apply in Europe).
  • The electronic documents will be checked by the departmental application board.
  • Once your records have been accepted by the application board, you will be requested to accept your application and invited to submit your paper documents as original or certified copy and to pay the application fee
  • After a formal check of your paper documents you will receive an official invitation both electronically and by paper letter and to allow you to immediately apply for the visa, and if need be, for financial funds.

Application Timeline

Application is only possible for the winter semester 2012!

  • Electronic Application 05.12.2011 - 31.03.2012
  • Check of electronic documents until 15.04.2012
  • Check of paper copies until 30.04.2012
  • Posting of acceptance letters until 15.05.2012
  • Start of mandatory presemester courses and German class 01.09.2012

    IMPORTANT: Upon registration, please choose WS2012/13 and one of the following programs:

    • International Master (4 semester) - default
    • International Master (Double degree) - only if a valid double degree agreement exists with your university
    • International Master (Exchange Student) - if you want to visit the H-DA for one semester only

    The following programs are NOT open and applications for those programs will NOT be accepted:

    • SS2012
    • Master (3 semester)
